Air Purifiers.
Could air purifiers benefit your home, can they actually benefit you? These days the air can contain so many toxins, but surely that shouldn’t affect you inside your home, or can it? Well, you may actually be shocked to learn that the air within our homes can be upto five times as noxious as the air is outside! Quite surprising isn’t it, I know I was shocked when I first discovered this. But how is it possible? Well, due to airtight homes, the pollutants in the air can actually become trapped indoors with no means of escaping. Naturally, the quality of the air within our homes is critical considering how much time we spend in our homes; can you be sure the air you’re breathing is clean?
Home air filters, typically known as ‘furnace filters’ will actually keep the coils and the heat exchangers attached to your heating and air conditioning unit clean. A home air filter does this by using very effective motors and also anti-microbial filters, which helps to provide you with clean and healthy air conditioning within your home.
You’ll find that there are several kinds of air purifiers that are available to you; some of the more well known air purifiers are hepa, zeolite, carbon and uv light. Certain air purifiers operate by using filters, while others utilize stainless steel rods in order to gather the contaminates. You’ll find that both methods work excellently. However, when using an air purifier, you need to remember to replace the filters or to clean down the rods depending on the system you use in order to keep your air clean and healthy!
The home air filter functions by drawing the air through several layers of different air filters. First of all, the air goes through what’s known as a pre-filter, the pre-filter removes the larger particles from the air. Next, the air will go through a coconut shell carbon filter, this will help to remove such things as chemicals, gases, vapors and odors. Afterwards, the air will pass through two anti-microbial filters for additional filtration. Finally, the air will pass on through the hepa media; this is where over 99% of the allergens and particles that are larger than .3 of a micron will be taken in. The hepa media will then release the clean air back into your room. An air purifier can remove pollutants as small as microns. Not bad considering a micron is about a hundred times as small as one of your hairs! So, even though you can’t see the dirt that’s in the air, you can be sure that it’s there! You will soon notice the difference when you start breathing the purified air.
Just make sure you remember to keep you home air filter well maintained. If you don’t change the filters, then dust mites and various other pollutants can continue to linger in the air.
